Wedson Nyirenda
Newly appointed national soccer team assistant coach Wedson Nyirenda has agreed to take the Zambian job for a reported monthly salary of K50,000 or about USD5,000, according to ZamFoot.
Nyirenda will also be handed the official national team 4×4 presently in ex coach George Lwandamina possession, a flat and receive bonuses with every national team assignment.
He becomes the first ever assistant engaged full-time.
He assumes the head coach role immediately and his first major assignment is a daunting task of tackling the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier on October 9 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
